Today I learned that I Would For You won the Black Lawrence Press manuscript consultation scholarship for hybrid work. A celebrity writer will be going over my book with a fine-tooth comb, providing extensive feedback and editing. The program has an excellent record of scholarship recipients going on to publish the selected work, so I’m very excited about this opportunity. 2023-2024 has been the Year of Endless Revision; but even so, I’ll tear it down and rewrite it from the ground up if that’s what it takes. I know there’s a home for the collection somewhere; I’m determined to find it.
